Disaster Medicine Gaming sessions

This year, the Hospital Preparedness and Resilient working groups of the Disaster Medicine Section have organised two outstanding, highly educational gaming sessions.

1. The first 30 minutes of disaster plan

The evacuation plan is activated … What are you going to do on the ward?

What are the most important steps: who – calls – who? First response, first response team, incident managers … and where are the guidelines, action cards? Are you going to evacuate and … where to?  Where should the patients be taken? What is the role of the ED?

The Working Group on Hospital Preparedness have organised a highly educational and entertaining game which will improve your hospital disaster plan with deeper understanding of the process and challenges to obtain excellence in your Hospital Incident Management System.

The game will be organized on 13 and 14 October from 11:00am until 12:30 in room 174-175 .

Are you prepared?

The tools used will be a part of a pilot project from Emergo Train System© Competence Center – Region Östergotland, KMC – Center for teaching and research in disaster medicine: development of ETS in-hospital ward patients.. ETS is a pedagogic simulation tool for education, training and simulation within the field of emergency medicine, disaster medicine and health care. ETS is also an educational concept training ETS instructors and ETS faculties
