Acute Psychiatric Emergencies

Format

This is half day pre-course taking place on Wednesday 23 September from 13:00-17:30 CEST in room CORONIS & HELIOS in Panacéa Conseil centre, 22 Rue Georges Picquart, 75017 Paris, Paris, France (please note it is different location than EUSEM Congress 2026!)

Overview

This 0.5-day intensive workshop addresses the critical “Golden Hour” of psychiatric emergencies in the ED. It combines evidence-based verbal de-escalation techniques, a logic-based algorithm for medical clearance of “mimics,” and high-fidelity simulation for managing agitated adolescents and high-risk suicide assessments.

For who
