Description

Managing intubated patients have become an integral part of emergency medicine daily practice.

In this course, a comprehensive knowledge transfer was planned by experienced trainers. The Invasive Mechanical Ventilation course will provide extensive knowledge for physicians to initiate and maintain proper invasive mechanical ventilation for intubated patients.

After the course, participants will be able to facilitate the use of mechanical ventilation in their daily practice and strengthen their critically ill patient management by understanding respiratory dynamics.

Objectives

Following completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

1. Identify the need and initiate invasive mechanical ventilation.
2. Learn the equipment for mechanical ventilation.
3. Learn commonly used the modes of mechanical ventilation.
4. Assess and monitor mechanical ventilator settings.
5. Determine and manage crashing patient during mechanical ventilation.
6. Maintain ventilatory support for a patient.
