Dear friends, dear colleagues,
I personally and on behalf of the EUSEM executive, wish to warmly thank you all for making the European Congress of Emergency Medicine just ended in Athens a great success.
Thank all the speakers that have spent time to prepare spectacular presentations, that have put fantasy to invent new ways of communication and have kept the audience attention and participation till the very end of the congress.
Thank all the attendees, many, from a great number of countries in Europe and all over the world. Without you all the efforts would have been useless.
Thank all the participants that have brought their research results to Athens and presented in the oral abstracts sessions and with the posters.
Thank all the moderators and coordinators that helped to make sure everything was smooth and organized, both at the sessions and for the poster presentations, and facilitated the discussion.
Thank the industries that have supported our congress and have brought their new products and proposals for a better and richer emergency medicine.
I wish to give a particular thank to the “social network group”. Friends that have followed all the sessions, with an organized schedule, and have put all the inspirational, significant and important messages gathered by the presentations, on the social networks, in particular on the EUSEM account in twitter, reaching an outstanding number of contacts and retweet that have contributed to make our congress more popular in the scientific community.
Finally I wish to thank the Congress Organizing Committee, the Scientific Committee, the Young Emergency Medicine Doctors, the Education committee and the MCO girls for the great work done. They succeeded in building up a sparkling event, with very appreciated pre-courses, interactive and catching sessions, great scientific value, wonderful organization and a lot of fun.
The organisation of EUSEM2018, that will be held in Glasgow on 8-12 September together with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, has already started. We plan to have an even greater, better and cooler congress, and we hope that you all and many of your friends and colleagues will be with us for another unforgettable event.
Welcome to Glasgow!
President of EuSEM
